Wooohoo! My first post as GM!

Obviously its been a period of transition, so I just thought I'd outline a few things that have happened over the last few days for those that have been asleep. (I'm looking at you Keeny)

----- Progress ------

• 25 man Update - We managed to clear Normal mode Ulduar in approximately 4h30 of raiding, netting ourselves many achievements along the way and leaving time for the 10 man groups to focus on their hard modes. (Fully expect we can aim for a 1 night clear within the next few weeks)

• 10 Man Group 1 - Is just 2 Hard modes away from their Drake, and 1 away from Algalon.

• 10 Man Group 2 - Only has Freya +3 and Mimiron Hard Mode left before Algalon.

----- Guild News -----

• Raid attendance tracker operational (see the private forums)
• Website package upgraded so we have a few new features to play with.
• Guild shop now operational, now you can buy your flasks (20g ea) before raid , and 25g during raid, among.. other things :).
• Nojj, Highheals, Braddas, Jakedarkmind, Onetwotree have all been been promoted from recruits.
• The Core Raider and Casual Raider ranks have been done away with, it's simply now "raider".
• Leadership Restructure (see previous post for details)
• Raids start later at 19:30 , to be a little friendly to our UK players with jobs.

To close this post, I'm going to one up Kobo, by having three serious ladys in turbans.

Due to a new job leaving him without time for the hefty responsbilities of running Ming, Spookhouse has decided to step down as GM. As a result, Ming has now entered a new wave of management. Ming is now headed by Noxen, former GM of Casual Fridays. Casual Fridays was involved in a lot of Ming raids, in fact you can even see a loose Noxen in our first 25m Yogg-Saron kill screenshot with a <Casual Fridays> tag. After the disbanding of Casual Fridays, Noxen and some of his buddies have joined Ming. Lo and behold this man has ascended to the rank of GM, and his reign of terror and candy has just begun!

New management means new leadership structure! I am now Ming's raid leader (no admin shit /cheer). Asmodai, Naruu and Osiana are now our recruitment officers, and Keeny is our DKP officer. So, wish us the best of luck and let's hope this works out for a brighter, shinier, sexier Ming.

In regards to Ming's recent progress, we've been focusing mainly on 10 man hard modes lately. We've managed all of these hard modes now except for Mimiron, Yogg-saron, and of course Algalon. Quite a few of us are just Mimiron hardmode and Yogg-saron+1 away from our proto-drakes, exciting stuff!

Anyway, to conclude this news post, here is a picture of a happy lady in a turban.

Ming is now recruiting all classes and specs!

That does not mean though that you'll get a free ticket to Ulduar clearing. We are still looking for very active raiders who are willing to wipe, commit to the guild and have PvE progress as priority. Our recruitment trial is very strict.

We are also still a small guild where our raiders are guaranteed to be in at least 50% of the raids. Due to the fact a few of our raiders in Ming have gone inactive, we need replacements in order to continue progressing in Ulduar hardmodes. Meaning if accepted, you can start raiding with us straight away! Therefore you're expected to have at least some gear and/or be perfectly enchanted and know tactics for all Ulduar content we have on farm as well as tactics for hardmodes.

Though our focus is 25man progress, we are also recruiting for 10mans for those who cannot attend to at least 75% of heroic raids are welcome to join us as Social/Casual Raiders for 10man. We have 2 groups capable of clearing Ulduar so long as we have the people as we've done in the past and as 25man, we need more active people for hardmodes.
Group 2 is in need of fresh blood and usually raids on Fridays!

After a hell of alot of wiping and struggles to fill raids with a decent setup Ming finally got the gooey brain man down. When blizzard stated the difference between normal and heroic mode content is minimal in difficulty, this boss is an exception, he is waaaaaay harder in heroic than normal. He took us about 4 raids to finally down him, and at no point felt like an easy boss. He's also still a bit of a buggy bastard, but nothing compared to what Ignis was like.

Good job lads, it's satisfying to know Ming maintains their Alliance first spot of Laughing Skull, and by being the server 2nd to down him I believe we're jumping ahead of some horde guilds. Progress progress progress.

On a side note I have recently passed the rank of GM onto Spookhouse. The usual case of the job being too stressy etc, but it was a pleasure leading Ming through Sunwell, Naxxramas and Ulduar. I will remain a loyal raider of Ming. Gl to Spook, turn Ming into something better than it is now!
